Dosage & Administration

Important:
Do not take any medication without a doctor's prescription. Self-medication can be dangerous.
The amount of water removed from the body, an equivalent quantity of mixture should be given. After each loose motion.
  • Children below 2 years: 50-100 ml (10-20 teaspoonfuls) prepared saline.
  • Children between 2-10 years: 100-200 ml (20-40 teaspoonful) prepared saline.
  • Children above 10 years and adults: 200-400 ml (1-2 glasses) of prepared saline.

Precautions & Warnings

ORS should not be mixed with hot water and the mixture should not be heated. The mixture must be discarded after 12 hours from preparation.
